ONE HUGE PROJECT DONE!!

THE PROJECT IS DONE!!
The windows, doors and siding are done and they look great!! Thanks Mark for doing such a great job. Pictures will be posted once the dumpster has been removed :-) September has been a crazy month for us, Josh has been in late meetings every night or out of town. Last night was the first night he was able to be home at his normal time and I was able to have a "night off" and join my girls movie club for our bi-weekly movie and dinner. It was nice to have adult conversation in the evening.

Thanks to Grammy and Papa for helping out on Tuesdays and Wednesdays nights while I am working, you both have been a lifesaver.

Gideon is growing so fast, I can't believe how alert he has become just the past couple of weeks. He is now able to focus on something and actually try to grab it…. And he has started given kisses, there is nothing like feeling his little hands on my neck and him trying to kiss my cheek - totally melts my heart.

More pictures will be posted this weekend since all the nieces and nephews will be in town for Megan's wedding.

House Updates

After taking the summer off we are back at work on updating the house, here is some of the pictures of the progress.... we decided to add french doors to our bedroom since we are going to be expanding the deck. I cant wait for them to be finished, as I am sure our neighbors will be too!

Happy 70th B-day Dandy!!

Hope you had a great day!! Maybe next year we will get to celebrate with you in Memphis :-)

Our little chatter box

Gideon has found his voice, Josh and I have been woken the past couple of mornings from someone cooing in his bed I can say that it is so adorable!! He is becoming quite the little chatter box.

Happy Feet!

Gideon found his feet tonight, or I should say he found his socks. It was quite amusing watching him try to grab them, sorry to say he wasnt successful.

Road trip to the Baby Shower

Josh, Gideon and I are headed to Sedalia this weekend for my friend Beka's baby shower. We had so much fun and it was so nice to get to see her again, we hadn't seen each other since my wedding even though we talk almost every day. One of our main conversations the past couple of days where our husbands, since they had never met each other we weren't sure how they would get along.....needless to say the hit it off right away, to the extent that we were joking that they acted like they have been friends for the past 20 years and not us. It was a little surreal seeing her daughter who is 12 hold Gideon, considering I can still remember when she was Gideon's age.

I am where I want to be....

So today I was thinking about my life and realize that " I am where I want to be". We aren't millionaires or live in a huge house, but we both have good jobs and are financially secure, we have a nice home. We have an adorable, healthy little boy and have a great family. Our marriage gets better every day, we both are healthy (maybe a little too healthy :-) ) I have great girl friends, and we have great "couple" friends.....I am where I want to be.....

Smiling Cousins

Aunt Carrie sent this to me today while I was at work and it made me smile. I love how he tries to put her fingers in his mouth and I loved how Chloe wanted to say hi to me.

Thanks Aunt Carrie for making me smile.

Picture of the week !

I love this one!

LABOR DAY WEEKEND

So Josh and I were total STL tourist this weekend, we went to the Butterfly house and also the Japanese Festival at the Gardens with some friends, which I would highly recommend to everyone....just go on a weekend that it is not so hot!

One great thing about STL is that we have so many attractions that you can go to that are free or that are so reasonably priced. I actually every year buy an entertainment book and we have recently started using all the buy one get one free coupons. It was the first time I had ever been there and needless to say was very impressed. Isn't it funny you can live in an area your entire life and not realize what is around you.
