Our little chatter box

Gideon has found his voice, Josh and I have been woken the past couple of mornings from someone cooing in his bed I can say that it is so adorable!! He is becoming quite the little chatter box.

Happy Feet!

Gideon found his feet tonight, or I should say he found his socks. It was quite amusing watching him try to grab them, sorry to say he wasnt successful.

Road trip to the Baby Shower

Josh, Gideon and I are headed to Sedalia this weekend for my friend Beka's baby shower. We had so much fun and it was so nice to get to see her again, we hadn't seen each other since my wedding even though we talk almost every day. One of our main conversations the past couple of days where our husbands, since they had never met each other we weren't sure how they would get along.....needless to say the hit it off right away, to the extent that we were joking that they acted like they have been friends for the past 20 years and not us. It was a little surreal seeing her daughter who is 12 hold Gideon, considering I can still remember when she was Gideon's age.

I am where I want to be....

So today I was thinking about my life and realize that " I am where I want to be". We aren't millionaires or live in a huge house, but we both have good jobs and are financially secure, we have a nice home. We have an adorable, healthy little boy and have a great family. Our marriage gets better every day, we both are healthy (maybe a little too healthy :-) ) I have great girl friends, and we have great "couple" friends.....I am where I want to be.....

Smiling Cousins

Aunt Carrie sent this to me today while I was at work and it made me smile. I love how he tries to put her fingers in his mouth and I loved how Chloe wanted to say hi to me.

Thanks Aunt Carrie for making me smile.

Picture of the week !

I love this one!

LABOR DAY WEEKEND

So Josh and I were total STL tourist this weekend, we went to the Butterfly house and also the Japanese Festival at the Gardens with some friends, which I would highly recommend to everyone....just go on a weekend that it is not so hot!

One great thing about STL is that we have so many attractions that you can go to that are free or that are so reasonably priced. I actually every year buy an entertainment book and we have recently started using all the buy one get one free coupons. It was the first time I had ever been there and needless to say was very impressed. Isn't it funny you can live in an area your entire life and not realize what is around you.

BABY STUFF ADDICTION

So I am beginning to realize that I may have a small addiction and that is baby stuff especially baby shoes.

Here is the deal, I was single until I was 33 so if I wanted something I bought it, I was blessed to have a great job and conveniently lived across the street from the galleria so needless to say I treated myself very well materialistically speaking (if that is a word) so I am at the place in life that buying new clothes or shoes for myself doesn't thrill me and as sad as it is to say even a Coach purse doesn't make my heart skip a beat anymore....but baby stuff does....

One major addiction I have is baby shoes, especially Robeez, http://www.robeez.com/ when you have a girl you can dress them in a little onesies put a cute bow in their hair and they look adorable, where as boys are the opposite if you put a onesies on them they look very under dressed or they are missing something unless they have an adorable pair of shoes and it completes the outfit so needless to say as I was getting the little one ready this weekend I realized that my addiction could be getting out of hand when you start picking out his shoes and then looking for something to match them.....

I am not a big resale store person, to be honest the stores always seem to smell to me and they are so overpriced. You can actually find stuff cheaper at TJ Maxx and Marshalls new for what they want for it used, but this weekend the stores proved me wrong. I found 3 pairs of the robeez for 3.50 a piece and two of them were brand new.

I told Josh there are worst things to be addicted too :-) and shoes are a lot cheaper than Coach purses!

My husband.

When Josh and I first met we both fell pretty hard right away, after about 2 weeks of dating we started seeing each other every day, 7 months later he proposed, three months later married, his mom passed away the day we landed from our honeymoon, Josh was put over his moms estate, I miscarried, became pregnant 3 months later, preterm labor at 31 weeks and now a baby.... Our lives have always been busy, we both had our own circle of friends and also both came from big families so we always had someplace to be or someone we needed to call or visit, but the past week I have felt that life was finally slowing down or maybe I should say I was slowing down.

Now that I am back to work, we are on a schedule which is nice and its given me time to just relax and think more ( scary thought :-) ) The past couple days I keep thinking about how great of a person that I am married too.

I married a man that is a wonderful husband, awesome dad, great son-in-law, and a good son. I have seen him at the happiest time of his life ( seeing his son for the first time) and the saddest ( his mom passing away) and I can say that everything we have been through has made me fall more in love with him. He is not perfect in anyway, yes he says things that he shouldn't and yes he is a pack rat and yes he would rather fix something than to go buy something new....but he is perfect for me, he has held me everytime I cried, he laughs with me, he is patient when I am moody and listens when I need to vent. When I couldn't decide rather to work or stay home, he just quietly commented that he would support what decision I made....and he has. I am so glad that he came into my life. He truly makes me a better person.

This blog is for Josh, no one needs to comment and if you are rolling your eyes than stop reading it and by tomorrow I will be posting more blogs about our gorgeous baby, but tonight I wanted to post this...its my blog I can write what I want to and its your time so you can read what you want too :-)

Stewie no rolling your eyes :-) I am having an emotional day.
